� For those using Google Voice, is your own Google Voice number (since GV can be configured to call you) considered landline or mobile? What about the GV passthrough numbers for your non-GV contacts?

When you take forever to get the phone on VZW you should expect people to take their time switching.
First, you've let Android have all that time to get a following because it's the only alternative for the lack of an iPhone. Those people have also bought apps that they now enjoy and would have to re-purchase on the iPhone. This happens with video game systems as well.
Second, people are in 2yr contracts. There are very few people who are willing to pay more for a phone they can buy 4 months later at half price on top of the termination fee.
Third, not that many people hate AT&T it's just the handful of VZW fans that make it look that way.
And finally you have the reporting and reviews. All the reports I saw were telling VZW people and potential switchers to hold off on getting the iPhone 4. No 4G, no white and still had the questionable signal issues. The "iPhone 5" was supposed to come out mid to late summer so people were concerned Apple would sell them a phone and then jump up 6 months later with the newer, thiner, better version and leave folks hanging.
People are paying attention to these reports and that's why I feel the numbers were low.

Experts,
i have just Upgraded my iphone 4 to 4.3.2 using sn0wbreese..
then i have instaled lots of apps from cydia and some of the hack sites..
what i hav noticed , that if i reboot my iphone, it goes to safe mode. then i need to respring the winterboard, after that it works fine.
is it normal ? any patch ?
please help

I'm guessing you'll see the same form factor - similar to the 3G to the 3GS.
Updates will likely be limited to:
A5 Chip
64Gb
Higher Resolution Camera
GSM/CDMA in the same device
I can already hear Jobs, "It's a dual-core processor, IN A PHONE!". This is all speculation of course, but the updates are only going to be incremental.
There's no reason for design specs or sizes to leak out, because Apple doesn't need to share them with any case makers or partners - it will be the same size as the iPhone 4. So, you won't hear about it until it's announced at WWDC (I don't believe the hype that it's been moved - thats just paranoid). We're likely to hear about iOS 5 this month or next.
Apple needs to release something for the Summer Quarter (I don't know when their fiscal begins) for shareholders. If not, % growth in stocks will be down year over year for the quarter.
Not that it matters to me. I only update once every 2 years and I have an iPhone 4 :)

So looking at Vodaphone's site... it appears the storage space bump "possible" rumors was bogus.
I've been holding on to this 3G for SO long now just to get 64GB. Whether the iPhone 5 comes out this summer or spring, it's the only feature I care about. Come on apple, I know you can do it!

Wow... this girl handmakes these stylish vinyl laptop bags that are sized for 12" and 15" Powerbooks. Probably most appealing to girls, but I'm thinking about getting one of the 15" ones and a shoulder strap.

As mentioned before, iPhone has continually been compared to Android as platform rather than manufacturer's phone to phone.
The only people who want to compare it that way are apple fans. The rest of the world rightfully compare it according to device. Smartphone OS to smartphone OS.

Why do some posters put down peoples choices or even the fact that it exists in white?
So, if you don't like a white iphone, buy black. It's all good:-)
I like black, but my daughter likes white. When I asked why, she said it goes well with her white ipad and white MacBook, when they are all on her desk.
Sounds like as good a reason as any.
She has a 3GS off contract that is totally on it's last legs (broken glass replaced with plastic, battery empty mid-day), so her only decision is to wait out the next iphone or not.
Unfortunately she has never been able to wait for anything(despite me mentioning not to buy 1st gen Apple products), so she'll probably buy the ip4 in white.
I bet there are many people out there in the same situation.
"Sick" in that context means "good" I think...he likes the White too...

I have my iphoto library on an external drive connected to my mini server thats running all the time, and have set up access for my wife on her imac and my mbp to access it.
in your case, maybe a sharepoint with permissions set to only certain users.

Hi,
To give you a quick background we have a central server where students at our college turn in their projects to a drop box. We have 1 student login and password that every student uses to access the dropbox. Is there anything wrong with this method of workflow or should every student have their own login and password?
Any insight would help.

But you hit on what some may see as an issue (maybe not for sun baked - gain not speaking for him).
There was a change that I noticed in your posting behavior (since you and I seemed to have hit the same threads) before and after the announcement of the possible addition of mini mods. The two are most likely unrelated; but it is the perception of users that counts to some degree.
Wait a few weeks and and all of this will be forgotten as you know. :)
I've been a member of these forums for a long time now, and I really like it here, I've learnt a lot and had a lot of fun too. But, to move to the next level and actually become part of the MR team it is obvious to any idiot (even me!) that some of my old habits have to die, and I do need to be able to account for my actions. I recently pirated a movie because I couldn't find it at the local rental place. I can't wait for online movie sales.
The staggered global release of movies is just asinine in the digital age. I'll agree that the movie studios almost force legitimate consumers to pirate movies because there is no other way to legally obtain the content.

I was wondering if one would be able to get a FaceTime HD camera and install it on a 2010 iMac? Could it possibly be as simple as just taking the iSight cam out and plugging the FaceTime HD in? I would really like the 720P capability of the new cam.
