I am assuming this is a cluster? I seriously doubt that would be enough space for every person to access their iTunes content via the cloud. The only conceivable way is if you were limited to the amount of space (like allocated into your 20GB default mobileme account). That would be weak. There are and have been options out there to use your home mac as a media server over the net. Orb is one of them. Besides, any unfortunate souls that were not grandfathered into the unlimited iPhone/iPad data plan would destroy their 3G usage. I still think ATT is the weakest link here for those. I am fortunate enough to have the unlimited data, but many, many people out there do not. (How do you live with 2GB a month???)
Also, you can currently store music and video on your iDisk and access it via Quicktime on the iphone/pad/pod. It's just not a seamless interface with iTunes.
Since they bought Lala, we've been anticipating this: I am really hoping Apple can convince the music and movie labels to allow a streaming subscription service to compete with Mog and Rhapsody (I use Mog currently), but it doesn't look all too promising because these said studios and labels are already at the mercy of Apple via iTunes.

I have an Apple 24" LED. It is in warranty through Apple Care. The monitor has large black sections at the bottom of the screen and I want to have it replaced. Since the 24" LED is not made anymore, does Apple replace it with a refurbished 24" or do they repair the monitor?

I don't like the idea. The moment they start chipping away at devices, it'll set a bad precedent for future negotiations. It'll be hard to get back those rights. Apple, hold strong!! :)
Like I said in the post... I don't see them getting to far in negotiations, since the Disney/iTunes partnership has already shown some positive results. They are nit-picking, and if they are wise, they aren't going to shy away from $50+ million just because of nitpicking issues.

I love my iphone 4 and I don't plan on upgrading til 2012 but I disagree there is no need for a new iphone.
I think Apple still needs to make sure they keep up. And honestly, I would say the iphone needs a faster processor (I hear the 3GS is faster due to not having as high resolution) and better graphics/more ram and more storage (but honestly that will always be the case really, it's how computer tech runs, always needing to be faster).
Course, I've gotten a lot more into gaming on my phone ;). But I have had several apps (admittedly mostly games) that do have random freeze for a second which to me is kinda unimpressive since it is the latest phone (it's not that annoying, but just unimpressive and worrysome how it will keep up with apps when it ages if it already is experiencing some lag now).
No, I don't really have any want of new things on it (except for the excitement of what will they add now) and I'm perfectly happy with the GPS/camera (The two things i wanted improved on my 3G).
But if nothing else, Apple needs to at least put out a new iphone each year to keep up with speed and new applications that need more speed (and really even though I'm happy with the camera people expect the camera technology to improve on each phone). That's the nature of technology.

Well you talk about fairness, I don't think its fair that your studies are funded by the government and mine are not, even though I will be working directly for the government in the very near future. And, its not fair to me that you may very well benefit directly from my work in several ways. For example, say you come to America for a holiday, and you are mugged. It would be my job to help get the guy responsible for your mugging and to be able to put you back to your position before you were mugged, at no cost to you because you are not an American citizen and don't pay taxes. So, I feel toat you owe me money because that would be fair. I know i'm making money as an attorney, but so is Loren on the many, many other projects he has going on for him. Its only fair that we are both compensated justly for everything we do, right? Just like you would want to be compensated by me if I came to your country and needed medical help, it would be nothing out of my pocket, and that doesn't seem fair to you personally doing something without just compensation.
My point is, each of us has our own lives to support, because really when it comes down to it, no one else is giving us a free ride...well except for you and thats not really fair. Well then to educate you, in America, no one gets a free ride. We're all for ourselves here, and then we have to pay taxes up the ass for the people on welfare who mooch off of the welfare system without really doing anything. No ones gonna help me with my law school loans even though the work I am doing will benefit many, many people. The guys who created youtube didn't charge people to access the videos hosted on their site for free, or charge people each time they updated their servers and software, yet they are rolling in the dough. In America, we thrive on customer satisfaction. I personally do not feel Loren did enough with Tweetie 1 in satisfying his customers before going ahead and charging full price for an "update." And his excuse that Apple didn't provide an upgrade path is a cop out. I read his tweet on the decision; he did it because he "had the balls to do it." He should at least go back to Tweetie 1 and upgrade that as much as possible until he can't anymore. $75 for a website template?? Doesn't sound like your charging nearly enough money. That should be closer to $400 IMO.
When I pay for logo design or a website, I pay by the job. I usually get a quote before we begin. I paid $100 for a logo design.

I guess I have to look at as many pricing sources as possible and and try to distill some figures? I have the "Graphic Artist Guild" handbook, but those prices are through the roof. I imagine they're for seasoned professionals working for major clients. Thanks again!

You forget that those parts Samsung supplies there is a SHORTAGE of them on the open market. Apple can not afford to loose Samsung because no one else has the production to replace them. It would cost Apple a lot more money to replace them. Samsung on the other had because of the shortage sell for a greater amount to other companies.
Apple may be a first tear buying in that area but they still are a minor player in terms of over all buyers. Samsung is a major player in that market.
